Sharon Persinger was born in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised in Compton, California. She had a life full of challenges and was trying to figure out her next steps in life. Sharon turned to the church and was introduced to Pastor Stan; who insisted that he marry her and that it was Gods will. Within two weeks of meeting, Stan and Sharon were married. Sharon served side by side with her husband sharing the word of god with people all over the United States and India. Stan and Sharon have both taken their challenges in life and turned them into teachable moments for those to come closer to god. Pastor Stan and Sharon created Missionaries Answering the Call (MATC), to serve god and spread his word. Sharon vowed to serve alongside her husband till death do they part and that is exactly what she did. Sharon experienced a big loss losing her husband of 21 Years.

Keeping my review as short as possible — very few books give me goosebumps, and this is one of them. Not every reader can feel the words written in a memoir about an individual who passed away. Neither can the author give that feeling in every book. Sharon managed to do that; all I could do was pray for his soul and her to help inspire others.
I don’t generally read memoirs, but it convinced me when I saw the title. As I reach the last chapter of the book, I feel overwhelmed by the life and commitment of Sharon to stick with her husband despite the trials and tribulations. This should be a lesson to all about how something small can destroy your life in no time.
The Devil’s World To God’s Kingdom is definitely not your ordinary book. It is much more than just a memoir. This is a book to bring you closer to God and trust in His blessings and plans.
